Retraction: "Overexpression of long noncoding RNA SLC26A4-AS1 inhibits the epithelial-mesenchymal transition via the MAPK pathway in papillary thyroid carcinoma," by Duo-Ping Wang, Xiao-Zhun Tang, Quan-Kun Liang, Xian-Jie Zeng, Jian-Bo Yang, and Jian Xu, Cell Physiol. 2020; 2403-2413: The above article, published online on 25 September 2019 in Wiley Online Library (https://doi.org/10.1002/jcp.29145), has been retracted by agreement between the authors, the journal's Editor-in-Chief, Prof Dr Gregg Fields, and Wiley Periodicals LLC. The retraction has been agreed after the authors stated that the experimental data in the article could not be verified. The investigation, based on allegations by a third party, additionally revealed inconsistencies in several image elements.
