Gliomas exhibit significant molecular diversity and poor prognosis. In this issue of Cancer Cell, Curry et al. apply Patch-seq on human glioma samples uncovering hybrid cells with glial and neuronal features, capable of firing action potentials in isocitrate dehydrogenase mutant gliomas.
